Mr. Mark Rasch served as Chief Privacy Office at SAIC and Director of Cybersecurity and Privacy Consulting-North American Business Unit at Computer Sciences Corporation. Mr. Rasch served as Managing Director of FTI's Technology segment in Washington D C of FTI Consulting, Inc. He served as the Chief Security Counsel and Senior Vice President of Solutionary, Inc. Prior to Solutionary, he worked for Fortune 500 clients, law enforcement, and various intelligence communities advising on computer crime and information security matters for companies such as Predictive Systems, Global Integrity, and SAIC. He has over 30 years of experience in the information security field, having served for nine years as the Head of the United States Department of Justice computer crime unit where he prosecuted key cases involving computer crime, hacking, computer fraud and computer viruses. Following this, he counseled commercial and governmental clients on matters related to computer security, regulatory compliance, and electronic evidence handling and computer incident response, computer forensics, privacy law, data breach disclosure requirements and Payment Card Industry Digital Signature Standards. Mr. Rasch also enjoyed a successful career as a practicing attorney at law firms in Washington D.C and has served on the faculties of multiple universities. Before entering private practice, he served over seven years at the U.S. Department of Justice, Export/Espionage and Fraud Sections of the Criminal Division and was lead or co-counsel for several successful, high-profile prosecutions related to virus attacks and credit card, banking and securities fraud. Mr. Rasch serves as a Member of Advisory Board at NewsCertified Exchange, Inc. He is a member of the American Bar Association and the ABA White Collar Crime and Technology committees. He has a B.A. in Political Science from the State University of New York at Albany and a J.D. from the State University of New York at Buffalo School of Law.
